Two Women Charged in Connection with Odhran Kelly’s Murder

Two women have been charged in connection with the death of nursing assistant Odhran Kelly, according to the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI). The 43-year-old and 36-year-old women are due to appear before Lisburn Magistrates’ Court on Thursday. Two 31-year-old men, who were also arrested as part of the investigation, remain in custody. Mr Kelly’s body was discovered beside a burning car in Maple Court on Sunday. The PSNI have stated that they do not believe there is any organized crime involvement in the murder. Detective Chief Inspector Tony Kelly expressed his condolences to Mr Kelly’s family and urged anyone with information to come forward. DUP MP Carla Lockhart also appealed for anyone with information to cooperate with the police. A vigil was held in remembrance of Mr Kelly on Wednesday, with hundreds of people gathering at Edward Street to pay their respects. Balloons, candles, and flowers were brought to honor his memory, and some family members wore T-shirts calling for justice. The murder has shocked the community in Lurgan, and the focus now is on bringing those responsible to justice.
