INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV) – A fatal accident took place on Wednesday night at 11:40 p.m. on I-70, as reported by the Independence Police. The incident occurred on the eastbound lanes of I-70, specifically east of Crysler.
Tragically, a 22-year-old woman from Kansas City named Alanna Henlon lost her life in the crash. She was the driver of a 2003 Buick Rendevous, which was rear-ended by a 2016 Honda Pilot in the middle lane. Upon arrival at the scene, authorities discovered that Henlon had been thrown from her vehicle and unfortunately did not survive the collision.

Emergency services swiftly transported the driver of the Honda Pilot to a nearby hospital due to the seriousness of their injuries. The individual’s current condition remains unknown.
