Survivors of the infamous attack on Pearl Harbor returned to the site on Thursday, December 7, to commemorate the more than 2,300 servicemen who lost their lives in the surprise attack on that date in 1941.
The survivors, now in their 90s, gathered at the Pearl Harbor National Memorial in Hawaii to pay their respects to their fallen comrades. They were joined by military officials, veterans, and members of the public who wanted to honor the memory of those who died in the attack that propelled the United States into World War II.

Bruner, along with other survivors, laid wreaths in the water above the sunken ship, paying tribute to their fallen comrades who remain entombed within.
