Gatineau police have confirmed that a second man has tragically died at a homeless encampment located near the Robert-Guertin arena on Carillon Street. This devastating incident occurred just weeks after another individual was found dead inside a tent at the same encampment.

First responders received numerous reports of an unconscious man at approximately 8:45 p.m. Paramedics quickly arrived at the scene and transported the man to the hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The identity of the second victim has not been disclosed, and the police have stated that the coroner will be investigating the case. At this time, no further information has been released.
