Houston Police Department Releases Surveillance Video of Suspect Vehicle in Fatal Hit-and-Run
The Houston Police Department has recently released surveillance footage of a vehicle involved in a tragic hit-and-run accident that claimed the life of a bicyclist near downtown Houston. The incident occurred on November 19th at approximately 9:10 p.m. on Houston Avenue, resulting in the death of a 36-year-old man identified as James Midkiff.

The video reveals a white sedan, although the make and model are currently unknown. According to reports, Midkiff was riding his bicycle southbound and approaching a railway crossing when he was struck from behind by the white sedan. Shockingly, the driver of the vehicle failed to stop and offer assistance, instead fleeing the scene on Houston Avenue, heading towards the North Freeway.
Paramedics urgently transported Midkiff to Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Center in critical condition. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of medical professionals, Midkiff succumbed to his injuries three days later.
The Houston Police Department is currently seeking information from the public to identify the suspected driver. Regrettably, at this time, the police do not possess a description of the individual responsible for the hit-and-run.
