Fatal Stabbing in Donholm, Nairobi: Middle-Aged Man Killed in Argument-Turned-Fight; Assailant on the Run

Police are searching for a suspect after a man was fatally stabbed in Donholm, Nairobi. The incident occurred on Thursday morning as the victim and a woman were walking to their home. According to the woman who witnessed the attack, another man joined them on the road around 2 am. The two individuals appeared to know each other and engaged in conversation. Suddenly, the conversation escalated into an argument and a fight broke out. The assailant then pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the head, causing his death. Both the woman and the police confirm that the assailant fled the scene. The motive for the attack is still unknown, and efforts to locate the suspect are currently underway.

In a separate incident, police in Diani, Kwale, are investigating the murder of a 25-year-old man. The victim, identified as Rashid Shabaan Mwabidia, lived alone and was found dead in his house. It is believed that an unknown number of individuals killed him and locked the body inside the residence. The victim’s brother, who had been trying to contact him, became concerned when he discovered the house door was locked from the outside. Upon breaking in, he found the victim’s lifeless body on the floor, displaying visible strangulation marks on the neck. Neighbors reported hearing quarrelling noises during the night, but assumed the dispute had been resolved. The motive behind the murder remains unknown, and the body has been taken to the mortuary for further investigation.

Meanwhile, in the same area, two suspected thieves were lynched by a mob in a failed robbery attempt. The men, riding on a motorcycle, had targeted a female pedestrian, trying to snatch her purse. However, the woman raised the alarm, gathering a crowd that subsequently chased and stoned the perpetrators to death. The police strongly discourage such acts of vigilante justice and urge the public to surrender suspects to the authorities for proper legal processing. The bodies of the deceased thieves have been transferred to the mortuary.
