Alberta Resident Ericka Saunders Found Deceased in Bowmanville: Friends and Family Seek Answers

The last time friends and family heard from Ericka Saunders, a 40-year-old resident of Alberta, was in March 2022. Since then, her loved ones have been actively searching for her. However, their search came to a tragic end when Durham Regional Police made a discovery in Bowmanville, Ontario on November 28th. While looking for a missing person in the area, officers stumbled upon human remains, which were later identified as Saunders.

The news has left friends, family, and loved ones of Saunders desperate for answers. Kane Blacque, a close friend of Saunders, expressed his concern, stating that the last time anyone heard from her was in March. The police are now focused on determining what led Saunders to the Bowmanville area and the wooded area where her remains were found.

Although the police have classified the incident as non-suspicious, Saunders’ family and friends back in Alberta believe there is more to the story. Jennifer Saunders, her sister-in-law, questioned whether she had a wallet or cellphone and found it strange that there was no suspicious activity surrounding her death. Saunders’ father, Elwood, echoed these sentiments, stating that her actions were out of character.

Saunders had a history of struggling with addiction, but she was described as outgoing, bubbly, and always surrounded herself with people. Her family and friends are hopeful that someone in Ontario will recognize her and provide answers to their lingering questions.
