Two Persons Trampled to Death by Elephants in Assam’s Kaliabor: Biren Lohar and Soma Munda

Two persons were tragically trampled to death by a herd of elephants in Assam’s Nagaon district. The incident took place near Hatigaon Salkona Basti in Kaliabor on Tuesday. The victims have been identified as Biren Lohar and Soma Munda.

According to reports, a herd of wild elephants had strayed out of the forest and was wreaking havoc on paddy crops in the area. In an attempt to drive the elephants away from the fields, locals tried to scare them off. However, this only angered the elephants, leading to a devastating attack on the villagers. Two individuals lost their lives as a result.
