Two Men Identified as James Via and Levi Grant Killed in Head-On Crash in East Louisville

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the two men who died in a head-on collision in east Louisville on Tuesday. The accident occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. in the 5800 block of Taylorsville Lake Road, near the border of Spencer and Shelby counties.

According to the Louisville Metro Police Department, the crash transpired when one of the vehicles veered into the oncoming lane, resulting in a collision between the two cars. Tragically, both drivers were killed in the incident. The deceased individuals have been identified as 48-year-old James Via from Shepherdsville and 30-year-old Levi Grant from Taylorsville.

Regrettably, neither of the victims survived the crash and were pronounced dead at the scene. The Louisville Metro Police Department’s Traffic Unit is currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
