Real Estate Agent Asif, 56, Fatally Struck by Bike While Crossing Busy International Airport Road

A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday evening when a real estate agent was hit by a bike while crossing the busy International Airport Road near Chikkajala. The victim, identified as Asif, was 56 years old and lived in Sanjaynagar.

The accident took place around 7.30 p.m. when Asif was attempting to cross the highway near Kadiganahalli Gate. This particular spot has gained notoriety as an accident blackspot, prompting the Bengaluru Traffic Police to recommend the construction of a skywalk for pedestrians.

Currently, many individuals risk their lives daily by leaping over the railings that separate the highway from the service roads on either side. Asif, unfortunately, suffered severe head injuries in the accident and was urgently transported to a private hospital. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries later in the day.

In response to this unfortunate incident, the Chikkajala Traffic Police have filed a case against the bike rider, holding him responsible for causing death due to negligence.
