A shooting incident in Painter, Accomack County, has resulted in the death of a woman and the hospitalization of a man. The tragic incident took place on Monday, December 4, at approximately 3:45 p.m., in the 31000 Block of Keller Pond Road.
The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office received a report about gunshot victims and promptly dispatched deputies to the scene. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers discovered a 23-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman with gunshot wounds.
