Emergency services were alerted at approximately 3:30 p.m. by a 911 call reporting that Frischman was unconscious and not breathing after being run over by a loader at the sawmill. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found Frischman with severe head trauma. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigations revealed that the machine operator was reversing a large loader that did not have a backup camera or alarms. As a result, he was unaware that Frischman was standing in his path. The noise generated by semi-trucks and other heavy equipment running in the area likely made it difficult for Frischman to hear the loader’s approach.

An investigation into the incident is currently ongoing. Authorities will be looking into the safety measures in place at the sawmill, including the absence of backup cameras or alarms on the machinery involved in the accident.

This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the importance of proper safety protocols in workplaces, especially those involving heavy machinery. Employers must ensure that appropriate safety equipment is provided and that employees are trained to follow safety procedures. In this case, the absence of a backup camera or alarms on the loader may have played a significant role in the accident.
