Berkeley Shooting Incident: Tyreece Stitts Arrested after Standoff, Princess Dennis Detained

Berkeley police officers have detained two individuals after shots were fired into an apartment, resulting in a five-hour standoff. The incident occurred on Monday in the 2400 block of 8th Street, according to the Berkeley Police Department. Upon investigation, it was determined that the bullet came from an apartment occupied by Tyreece Stitts and a juvenile.

During the standoff, a woman named Princess Dennis arrived at the scene and attempted to forcefully pass the police. She was subsequently detained by officers. Finally, Stitts surrendered and was arrested, along with the juvenile. Six pit bulls were also handed over to Berkeley Animal Control.

Following the arrest, a search warrant was executed at the apartment, leading to the discovery of an AR-15-style ghost gun and high-capacity magazines. Additionally, the authorities found the apartment to be in a state of disarray, rendering it uninhabitable for the juveniles residing there.

Stitts is currently under investigation and has been hospitalized. Dennis, on the other hand, has been arrested for multiple charges including child endangerment, possession of an assault weapon, possession of large-capacity magazines, and resisting arrest.
