Attempted Murder in Palisades Park: Homeless Man Tamarquis Burke Arrested for Strangling Fellow Homeless Victim

A homeless man has been charged with attempted murder in Palisades Park after he tried to kill another homeless man. The incident took place on December 1, and the Santa Monica Police Department received a call about an ongoing assault in the park. Officers swiftly responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, the officers discovered Tamarquis Burke, a transient male, actively strangling another male. The victim, who was also homeless, pleaded for help as the officers approached. Burke was promptly instructed to release the victim and was handcuffed without any further trouble. Eyewitnesses stated that the attack seemed to be unprovoked.
