Police have formally identified a man found dead next to a burning car in Lurgan as 23-year-old nursing assistant Odhran Kelly. Detectives launched a murder investigation after his body was discovered in the Edward Street area on Sunday. Three people, captured on CCTV walking near the car, are being sought for questioning. Two women, aged 36 and 43, as well as a 31-year-old man, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody. Authorities have stated that they do not believe the killing is linked to organized crime. A vigil for Mr. Kelly, who was from the Lurgan area, will be held on Wednesday evening in Edward Street. Floral tributes have already been left in remembrance of him. PSNI Detective Chief Inspector Tony Kelly expressed his condolences to the victim’s family and assured them that the investigation is ongoing. He urged anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the Edward Street or Francis Street areas between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Sunday to come forward with information. The detective also stressed the importance of speaking with the three individuals seen on CCTV near the car, as he believes they may have vital information that could assist the investigation.
