Woman Arrested for Vehicle Assault, Orange Police Hand Case to District Attorney’s Office

Vehicle assault case to be handed over to district attorney’s office; investigation into apartments shooting continues

Orange, UK – Police have announced that a case involving a woman who allegedly struck her boyfriend with a vehicle will be transferred to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office once the investigation is complete. The incident, classified as a family violence case, occurred on November 27 and resulted in no hospitalization for the victim, according to Orange Police Lt. Stephen Ward. The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Aliah Roberts, was arrested for aggravated assault but is no longer in custody.

Authorities have revealed that the man and woman involved in the incident were in a dating relationship. The altercation was reported at 61 Farragut Avenue at 10:51 a.m. Responding officers from the Orange Police Department interviewed both individuals at the scene.

In a separate ongoing investigation, Orange police are still looking into a shooting incident that occurred on November 29 at the Willowbend Apartments on Sikes Road. It is believed that two shooters exchanged gunfire, resulting in damage to multiple vehicles and at least one apartment unit. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with the incident. As of Monday, no arrests have been made in relation to the shooting.
