Two Deaths and One Injury Reported in Head-On Collision between Trucks
A tragic head-on collision between two trucks hauling rubber and gravel resulted in the death of two individuals and one injury in the Nazir Hat area under Fatikchari upazila in Chattogram. The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday.

The victims have been identified as Mohammad Rubel, 26, and Mohammad Alamgir, 28, both from the Datmara area under Bhujpur Police station of the upazila. They were cousins. The driver of the dump truck hauling gravel, Nur Miah, was also injured and is currently receiving treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
According to Officer-in-Charge (OC) Adil Mahmud of Nazir Hat Highway Police Station, the collision took place around 3 am at the Nazir Hat Old Bridge area. The trucks collided head-on, leaving the two drivers and a helper injured. Local residents rushed to the scene and rescued the injured victims, taking them to the Upazila Health Complex. Unfortunately, the doctors on duty declared Rubel and Alamgir dead, while Nur Miah was transferred to CMCH for advanced treatment.
Following legal procedures, the bodies of the deceased were handed over to their families, and the colliding trucks were seized.
The accident has caused shock and grief in the local community. The exact cause of the collision is yet to be determined, and an investigation is underway.
