Tragic Bicycle Crash in Tarpon Springs Claims the Life of 18-Year-Old Oni Mercado

An 18-year-old cyclist tragically lost his life in a collision in Tarpon Springs, Florida on Monday afternoon, according to local police. The incident occurred at the junction of Martin Luther King Drive and North Avenue at approximately 2:15 p.m.

Authorities reported that the crash involved a bicycle and a four-door sedan manufactured by Mercury. The young cyclist, identified as Oni Mercado, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, as confirmed by investigators. Regrettably, Mercado sustained fatal injuries.
