Woodstock Man Joseph Tyler Goodson Shot and Killed by Police During Standoff

A man from Woodstock, a town in Alabama, was fatally shot by police during a standoff incident, according to the Bibb County District Attorney’s Office. The victim, Joseph Tyler Goodson, was a central figure in the popular podcast “S-Town.” The shooting occurred in the early hours of Sunday, December 3, after Woodstock police responded to a call in the area.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers found Goodson barricaded inside a home. A standoff ensued, and law enforcement officers from multiple agencies were called in for assistance.
