Police Release CCTV Images of Vehicle in Connection to Homicide Investigation
Homicide investigators have released CCTV images of a vehicle believed to be connected to the murder of Thane Clayton. The public is being asked to provide any information that may help locate the vehicle and driver.

The vehicle in question is described as a blue Honda Pilot, manufactured between 2016 and 2022. It is thought to have been present in the area of the Beltline shooting on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at around 8:50 p.m.
CCTV footage shows that the vehicle traveled both eastbound and westbound on 10 Avenue S.W., remaining in the vicinity of 10 Avenue S.W. and Sixth Street S.W. before the homicide occurred. Following the shooting, the vehicle fled the scene, heading south on Sixth Street S.W., running a red light at 11 Avenue S.W., and turning west onto 13 Avenue S.W. It continued west on 13 Avenue S.W. until turning south on 11 Street S.W.
The police are appealing to anyone in the area who may have CCTV or dashcam footage, or any information regarding the identity of the vehicle or driver, to come forward and contact them or Crime Stoppers.
In an update, the victim has been identified as Thane Cameron Clayton, a 40-year-old man. The police are urging anyone who may have had recent contact with Thane to get in touch with them.

The incident occurred on Thursday, November 30, 2023, in the Beltline. Officers responded to reports of gunshots in the 600 block of 10th Avenue S.W. Upon arrival, they discovered a deceased man with gunshot wounds.
CCTV footage revealed that the victim was walking westbound on 10th Avenue S.W. toward Sixth Street S.W. when a dark-colored SUV pulled up. An occupant of the vehicle fired multiple shots at the victim before fleeing the scene. The suspect vehicle was last seen traveling southbound on Sixth Street S.W. and turning onto westbound 13th Avenue S.W.
The victim has been identified as a 40-year-old man with ties to Vancouver, B.C., Edmonton, Alta., and Halifax, N.S. At present, it is unclear whether the incident was a targeted attack.
Investigators are appealing to witnesses and individuals with CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the shooting to come forward. They emphasize the importance of video footage and witnesses in holding the offenders accountable.
