Six Workers from Kulgam District Killed in Road Accident in Shimla

Six workers from Kulgam district in south Kashmir have died and six others have been injured in a road accident in Shima district of Himachal Pradesh. The incident occurred on Monday morning when a truck carrying the workers fell into a gorge in Kararghat. Three of the workers died on the spot, while the others succumbed to their injuries at a hospital. The injured workers are currently receiving treatment at the Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital.

The deceased have been identified as Fareed (24), Gulab (43), Shabir (19), Talib (23), Gulzar (30), and Mushtaq (30), all residents of Kulgam. The injured workers have been identified as Ranjit, the driver of the vehicle, Aslam, Talib Hussain, Akash Kumar, Ajay Thakur, and Manjoor.

The Superintendent of Police in Shimla, Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi, confirmed the incident and expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased. The exact cause of the accident is yet to be determined, and an investigation is underway.
