The police pulled over the car on Rowan Street around 6:15 p.m. on Sunday after noticing it was parked illegally and observed it pulling into traffic “in a careless manner.” Upon approaching the vehicle, the officers discovered three individuals inside, including a 4-year-old and a 1-year-old in the backseat.

During the conversation with the passenger in the front seat, an officer noticed a baggie of marijuana. As a result, both the front seat passenger and the driver, identified as Ronnae Shaw, were asked to exit the vehicle. It was at this point that the officers spotted an AM-15 rifle under the driver’s seat, with the safety selector switch being activated.

None of the individuals inside the car possessed valid concealed weapons permits, according to the police. A search of the vehicle yielded four bags and a jar of marijuana. Additionally, Shaw was searched, resulting in the discovery of another zip bag of marijuana. Upon arrival at the jail, two more baggies were found on her person.

Both Shaw and the backseat passenger, identified as Brandon Redden, have been taken to the Allegheny County Jail. They are currently facing charges of endangering the welfare of children, carrying a firearm without a license, and possession. Shaw is also being charged with driving violations.
