The body of 10-month-old Zeke Best was found by police about 24 miles east of Idaho Falls after a hunter reported seeing a man in a sleeping bag on the side of the road. The police responded to the call and found the baby’s lifeless body. The investigation is ongoing, with Idaho State Police and the FBI assisting in the processing of the scene.

The man, identified as Jeremy Albert Best, was the subject of the Amber Alert issued on Friday for suspicion of kidnapping the child in Teton County. When officers located Best’s car off the road, they discovered the baby’s body. It is also believed that Best is connected to the death of his wife, Kali Jean Randall, whose body was found in their Victor residence on Thursday. The Teton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating Randall’s death as a homicide.

Best is currently being held in Bonneville County Jail and will remain in custody until his arraignment. It is unclear whether he has been assigned a defense attorney at this time.

The authorities expressed their condolences to the victims’ family in a statement. The investigation into both the baby’s death and the death of Randall continues, with the Bonneville County detectives, Idaho State Police, and the Teton County Sheriff’s Office working together.
