Father and Son Killed in Property Dispute; Teenage Boy Shot Dead over Children’s Quarrel in Lakki Marwat

A tragic incident occurred in Bannu district on Sunday, resulting in the death of a man and his son during a dispute over property. The police have reported that two groups engaged in a heated exchange of gunfire in the Gul Rehman Miryakhel area. The deceased have been identified as 71-year-old Sher Nawaz and his 21-year-old son, Amir. Additionally, their rival, Wali Rehman, sustained injuries in the conflict.

Umar Nawaz, Sher Nawaz’s son, lodged a First Information Report (FIR) with the Miryakhel police station, naming Wali Rehman, Wajid Khan, and Sher Wali as the assailants. Umar informed the police that his family had been embroiled in a property dispute with the accused.

Wali Rehman, who was injured in the incident, provided his account to the police. According to him, Sher Nawaz and his sons, Umar Nawaz and Amir Khan, fired at him, causing his injuries. The police promptly transported both the deceased and the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital.

In a separate unfortunate incident in Lakki Marwat district, a teenage boy lost his life due to a dispute among children. The police reported that Bilal shot 13-year-old Mohammad Afnan Qamar outside his house, resulting in his immediate death. The body has been moved to the Government City Hospital for an autopsy. Qamar Din, the father of the deceased, informed the police that Bilal had previously quarreled with his son over a children’s matter, ultimately leading to this tragic shooting.

Furthermore, the police have successfully apprehended a street criminal in Naurang town of Lakki. The suspect had snatched a mobile phone from 19-year-old Noman at gunpoint, subjecting him to physical assault as well. Utilizing modern technology, the police managed to track down one of the culprits, identified as Imtiaz, who admitted to his involvement in the crime. Authorities are actively pursuing the arrest of Imtiaz’s accomplice, Waliullah.

These incidents have shocked the local community, and investigations are underway to bring the perpetrators to justice.
