A deadly shooting occurred at a party in Bloomington, Indiana, leaving one man dead and another injured, according to local police. The identity of the 23-year-old man who lost his life has not been released. Authorities were alerted to the incident in the early hours of Sunday morning when they received a report about a weapons-related incident at a residence on S. Park Avenue. The house is located in a residential area near Indiana University.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered several partygoers leaving the premises. Witnesses informed the police that a shooting had taken place. Investigators conducted a thorough search and found the 23-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to his chest. Despite attempts to save his life, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Additionally, a 19-year-old man who had also been shot was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to witnesses at the party, a Caucasian man of larger build wearing a pink shirt began firing shots into the crowd. The suspect, identified as 21-year-old Isaiah Ramos from Linton, Indiana, was involved in a physical altercation with two others after they were denied entry to the party due to one of them carrying a handgun. The fight escalated and moved to a nearby alley, where Ramos allegedly started shooting.
Law enforcement launched a search for Ramos, and he was apprehended during a traffic stop by an Indiana State Police trooper. The trooper discovered a firearm inside the vehicle, and all three occupants were detained. After further questioning, Ramos was arrested and charged with murder and criminal recklessness. He is currently being held at Monroe County jail, awaiting a court date.
