Fatal Crash Claims the Life of Missouri Woman in Boone County
A tragic accident occurred on Sunday in Boone County, Missouri, resulting in the death of 62-year-old Debra Bates from Russellville. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is currently investigating the incident.

According to the crash report, the collision took place south of Columbia on Route H at Innovation Boulevard at around 6:30 p.m. Bates was driving a Jeep Compass with another female passenger, heading westbound, when a Ford Transit traveling in the opposite direction crossed the center lane and struck the driver’s side of the Jeep.
Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene, and paramedics declared Bates dead at approximately 7:05 p.m. The two other women involved in the crash were transported to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for their injuries, which range from serious to moderate.
