Courtney Gordon, a 38-year-old man, has been identified as the suspect responsible for a multiple-fatal stabbing in Far Rockaway, Queens. The attack left four people dead, including two children. Gordon allegedly used a steak knife to butcher his relatives before setting their home on fire. He was confronted and killed by responding officers.
The incident occurred on Sunday, December 3, when two officers arrived at the scene after receiving a distressing call from a young girl who claimed her cousin was killing her family members. The girl managed to escape by jumping out of the window.

Upon arrival, the police encountered Gordon attempting to leave the house with luggage. The suspect then pulled out a knife and stabbed one officer in the neck and another in the head before being shot and killed by the officers.
According to NYPD Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey, Gordon had set a couch on fire before fleeing the scene. Firefighters were called to control the blaze, and once inside the home, officers discovered the bodies of an 11-year-old girl, a 12-year-old boy, a 44-year-old woman, and a man in his 30s. A 61-year-old woman with critical stab wounds was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Courtney Gordon, a homeless man, had recently moved in with his aunt in Queens, where the violent incident took place. While the motive behind the attack remains unknown, Gordon’s mother and sister revealed that he had been mentally unstable and depressed for years. Furthermore, he had a history of domestic violence and had been arrested for it last year.
