Body of Missing Youth Suleiman Nag (31) Found Decomposed in Ranchi Forest

Ranchi: A highly decomposed body was recovered by the police in the Buraikocha forest in Ranchi on Saturday. The body was identified as that of 31-year-old Suleiman Nag, who had been missing since October 25. The police have stated that due to the advanced state of decomposition, a DNA test will be conducted to confirm the identity of the deceased.

Suleiman, a resident of Chutiabeda village, went missing after attending a hockey match in Vijayagiri village. His family filed a missing person’s report on November 5. Following the recovery of the body, Suleiman’s elder brother, Daud, lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against Abraham Munda and Prabhu Dayal Munda, accusing them of Suleiman’s death. Daud claimed that the duo had attempted to kill their parents over allegations of witchcraft, and Suleiman had intervened to save them. The police are currently investigating the allegations.

The decomposed state of the body has made it difficult to determine the cause of death. The police have assured that a thorough investigation will be conducted to uncover the circumstances surrounding Suleiman’s demise.

In other news, a complaint has been lodged with the police regarding the drainage of Bondvol lake in Vhoddlem Bhat, Santa Cruz. The lake, which is recognized as a wetland, is under the jurisdiction of the Calapur comunidade. The incident has prompted the comunidade to request an independent inquiry and install CCTV cameras for surveillance.

Meanwhile, in Delhi’s Adarsh Nagar, a 32-year-old man named Suraj Prakash died in police custody during a road rage incident. The victim’s family alleges that he was beaten by the police. The altercation occurred near the Adarsh Nagar metro station and persisted despite police intervention. A judicial inquiry is currently underway to investigate the circumstances surrounding Suraj Prakash’s death.

Lastly, a tragic incident occurred at Aether Industries Ltd plant in Sachin GIDC, where a massive fire resulted in the deaths of seven workers. The bodies were recovered after the fire was extinguished, and investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire. A case of accidental death has been registered in this regard.
