In another incident, supporters of different political parties caused a major traffic jam on AB Road, near Shivaji Vatika Square to GPO Square, on Sunday. The congestion was a result of the gathering of political party supporters at Nehru Stadium, where the counting of votes for the assembly election was taking place. Throughout the day, large crowds of both BJP and Congress supporters had been accumulating near the stadium. This caused inconvenience to vehicle riders, as people were standing on the road and sitting on the footpath.

As the BJP party office is located in front of Nehru Stadium, party workers began celebrating their victory with candidates on the road, leading to further traffic congestion. Traffic police were deployed to manage the situation and ensure that commuters did not have to wait for extended periods of time. One stretch of the road was barricaded, allowing only two-wheelers to pass through, while four-wheelers were diverted to an alternative route. Some enthusiastic BJP supporters even climbed over the divider, causing difficulties for i-Buses to navigate properly.
