Victim’s Wife and Acquaintance Arrested for Brutal Murder in Okara

The murder of a young man in Okara, Pakistan, that occurred three years ago has finally been solved. The City Circle Police arrested the wife of the deceased, Mukhtaran Bibi, and her acquaintance, Aslam, on Friday. The police also recovered the murder weapon during the arrest.

According to DPO Mansoor Aman, the victim, Razzaq, was killed in Shadman Colony. Mukhtaran Bibi and Aslam allegedly drugged Razzaq, leaving him unconscious. They then slit his throat, dismembered his body, and dumped it in two sacks. To avoid suspicion, Mukhtaran Bibi reported her husband missing to the police three years ago.

Gulzar, the brother of the deceased, informed the police about his suspicions regarding Mukhtaran and Aslam. After their arrest, both accused confessed to the crime. The police conducted a thorough investigation, leading to the recovery of the murder weapon. Further investigation is underway.

In another recent case, a couple was found murdered in Bahawalnagar. The victims were allegedly killed due to a long-standing grudge. The assailant was captured with the help of geo-fencing technology. The bodies were discovered in an advanced stage of decomposition.

In a separate incident, the decomposed bodies of Master Fateh Muhammad and Ishrat Bano were found in a locked house in Mohalla Tajpura. The murders were believed to have occurred approximately four days prior. The accused, Sarfraz Hijazi, was arrested using modern technology, including CDRs and geo-fencing.

DPO Naseebullah informed The Express Tribune that the police traced phone numbers that were in contact with the victims. They found that one of the numbers was continuously opened and closed immediately after the incident, leading them to Sarfraz Hijazi. Hijazi reportedly met the victims before turning off his phone and fleeing to Lahore. He was eventually arrested after a police team raided a location in Lahore.

These recent arrests highlight the efforts of law enforcement agencies to solve cold cases and bring justice to the victims and their families. The use of modern technology, such as geo-fencing and phone tracing, has proven to be instrumental in apprehending the culprits.
