Victim Identified as Employee Assaulted and Raped at Bowling Green Hotel; Suspect Arrested

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – A horrifying incident took place in the early hours of Dec. 2 at the Wingate Hotel located on 185 Greenwood Lane, as reported by Bowling Green Police. A female employee fell victim to a rape at the hands of a man who had entered the hotel’s front lobby with the intention of sleeping on the furniture. When she asked him to leave, he left momentarily but returned on multiple occasions.

Despite repeated requests to depart, the man escalated the situation by vaulting over the counter and physically assaulting the employee. He then forced her into a non-consensual sexual act. However, after a few minutes, the assailant fled the hotel premises. Thankfully, the police swiftly located him nearby and managed to apprehend him. The suspect has been identified as Johnson Dukuly Lloyd, a 25-year-old individual.

During the subsequent interrogation, Johnson revealed that he was homeless and had been brought to Bowling Green by the Franklin Police Department a couple of hours prior to the incident. Currently, Johnson remains in custody, facing charges of Rape in the 1st Degree, Assault in the 4th Degree, and Fleeing/Evading the Police on foot in the 2nd Degree.
