Abducted Baby Found Dead in Idaho, Father Arrested
A tragic incident unfolded in Idaho as authorities discovered the lifeless body of a 10-month-old baby in a wooded area. The child, Zeke Gregory Best, had been abducted by his father, Jeremy Albert Best, who is a suspect in the murder of the baby’s mother, Kali Jean Randall. The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office reported that a group of hunters alerted them after spotting a naked man making strange statements in a sleeping bag on the side of the road. The naked man was identified as Jeremy Albert Best, who was wanted in connection with the killing of his wife.

Deputies had responded to a disturbance call at a home in Victor, Idaho, where they discovered the lifeless body of Kali Jean Randall after a 911 dispatcher overheard the commotion during a call from the residence. Best had fled the scene with their infant son, prompting authorities to issue an Amber Alert in Idaho and Wyoming. The alert warned that Best was heavily armed and driving a black 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe with Idaho plates.
On the day before the alleged murder and abduction, Best had been seen walking around a store without any clothing, prompting law enforcement to respond to the scene. Best was evaluated and taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for further medical and mental health concerns.
After authorities found Zeke’s body, they also discovered Best’s Chevy SUV down the embankment in the same area. The cause of the infant’s death has not been disclosed at this time. Best was subsequently taken into custody, treated at the scene, and booked into Bonneville County Jail. He will remain in jail until his arraignment.
The investigation into this heartbreaking case is ongoing, with detectives from various law enforcement agencies involved. The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, Idaho State Police, Teton County Sheriff’s Office, Idaho Falls Police Detectives, and FBI agents are working together to uncover the circumstances surrounding this tragedy.
