Four people, including two children, have been killed in a stabbing incident in Far Rockaway, Queens. The incident occurred on Sunday morning, and one person is in critical condition. Two police officers who responded to the scene were also injured, and the suspect is dead.
The victims, an 11-year-old girl, a 12-year-old boy, a 44-year-old woman, and a man in his 30s, are believed to be family members. The police received a distress call from a young girl who reported that her cousin was attacking her relatives.

When the officers arrived at the scene, they saw a man leaving the house with luggage. The man then attacked the officers with a kitchen knife, stabbing one officer in the neck and chest and hitting the other officer in the head. In self-defense, one of the officers shot and killed the suspect. Both officers were taken to the hospital for their injuries but are expected to recover.
Inside the house, a fire had broken out in the living room and foyer, preventing the officers from entering immediately. However, the fire was quickly extinguished by the fire department. Once inside, three more victims were found dead: the 12-year-old boy, the 44-year-old woman, and the man in his 30s. The cause of their deaths was determined to be stab wounds.
A 61-year-old woman was also found in critical condition and was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital. The suspect, a 38-year-old resident of the Bronx, had a prior arrest for domestic violence involving strangulation. The police believe the incident was a family-related crime but are continuing their investigation.
Far Rockaway, located in the southernmost part of Queens, is a neighborhood situated along the shore of Long Island in New York.
