Motorbike Rider Killed in Crash with Parked Lorry in Chon Buri

In Bang Lamung, Chon Buri, a fatal accident occurred in the early hours of December 2, when a motorbike rider crashed into the back of a parked 18-wheel lorry. The incident took place on the Pattaya-Rayong bypass road, and the Nong Prue police were alerted immediately.

Upon receiving the distress call, rescue teams from Pattaya rushed to the scene. They were met with a grim sight—a crashed motorbike and a lifeless body entangled at the back of the lorry. The driver of the lorry, identified as 51-year-old Somchat Panithikul, had parked his vehicle on the roadside while transporting scrap to Rayong. He explained that he had stopped his lorry after another driver honked his horn as a warning. It was only when he stepped out to inspect his vehicle that he discovered the body of the motorbike rider, later identified as Suthat Iamchan, trapped at the back.

The rescue teams carefully extricated the body from the wreckage. Meanwhile, Nong Prue police officers are analyzing CCTV footage from the area to determine the exact sequence of events leading up to the accident. They have promised a thorough investigation to establish the cause of this unfortunate incident.

As of now, the investigation is still ongoing.

In a related incident on December 1, another motorbike rider crashed into a food delivery truck, resulting in the death of an unidentified male. The collision occurred on the Bang Khaen-Nong Suea Road in Khlong Luang district, Pathum Thani. The victim had no identification documents on him, but two tablets of methamphetamine were found in his possession.
