Man Fatally Shot for Confronting Youths in Bihar Village

A man was tragically shot dead in Dakshin Ekwana village near Tetariya Mor in the Bhojpur district of Bihar, India. The incident occurred late Friday night when the victim, identified as Ramayan Singh alias Ramayan Yadav, confronted a group of youths who were loitering in his cowshed.

According to eyewitnesses, Ramayan’s son, Sintu, narrowly escaped the attack as the miscreants fired several rounds. The family immediately rushed Ramayan to Sadar Hospital in Ara, where he was later referred to a hospital in Patna for further treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries during the journey.

Bhojpur Superintendent of Police, Pramod Kumar Yadav, addressed the media and confirmed that an FIR (First Information Report) has been lodged against three named individuals. Police raids are currently being conducted to apprehend the culprits. Initial investigations reveal that the accused, who were known to the deceased, were causing a disturbance and eating snacks in Ramayan’s cowshed. When Ramayan asked them to leave, they responded by opening fire, resulting in a fatal gunshot wound to his back.

Assistant Superintendent of Police, Chandra Prakash, stated that a technical team is assisting the police in the investigation. Raids have been conducted in neighboring villages, and efforts are underway to trace the main accused’s mobile number. Authorities are hopeful that the culprits will be arrested soon.

Sintu, who witnessed the entire incident, shared his account, saying that when he returned from his tuition classes, he found several youths sitting in his cowshed and consuming food. When his father asked them to leave, they began assaulting him. As he tried to escape, they kicked his bike, causing him to fall. The attackers then fired indiscriminately, injuring Ramayan and narrowly missing Sintu.

Former RJD Sandesh MLA, Arun Yadav, visited Sadar Hospital to offer support and assistance to the grieving family.

The investigation into the tragic shooting is ongoing, and authorities are determined to bring the perpetrators to justice.
