Heartbreaking News: Ondo State Local Government Worker, Mathew, Dies Suddenly in His Office

In a truly tragic turn of events, a worker at Bolorunduro, Ondo East Local Government Area of Ondo State, has passed away. The worker, known as Mathew, collapsed and died while in his office. Mathew, who resided in Elemosi in Ondo town, suddenly collapsed and shortly after, passed away in his office.

According to his colleagues, the deceased had arrived at the office on Friday and had his breakfast in his parked vehicle at the Local Government Area. To their surprise, Mathew returned to the office and engaged in a discussion with his colleagues before suddenly collapsing. Despite efforts to revive him, they were unsuccessful.

“He showed no signs of illness whatsoever. This is truly shocking for all of us. We rushed him to the hospital in Bolorunduro, but doctors declared him dead on arrival. His death is beyond our comprehension,” one of his co-workers expressed.

Daily Trust attempted to speak with the deceased’s wife, but their efforts were unsuccessful as she is said to be grieving. However, a family source disclosed that the immediate family is making arrangements for the burial.

Confirming the incident, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, stated that the police are investigating the true cause of the worker’s death. She also mentioned that his body has been taken to the hospital’s morgue.

This unfortunate incident has left the community in shock and mourning the loss of Mathew. The suddenness of his passing has sparked concerns and raised questions about his health prior to his collapse. As the investigation unfolds, friends, family, and colleagues are left searching for answers and seeking solace in each other during this difficult time.
