Greenbrier Police in Tennessee have apprehended a suspect involved in a home invasion, bringing relief to a local family. The incident began when 911 received multiple calls about a suspicious man in the area. The man, described as a white male wearing a dark-colored jacket, was seen running into a shed in a backyard before disappearing.
Shortly after, another call came in reporting a suspicious person on Mitchell Street, two streets away. The victim stated that the suspect approached his car and opened the door, but fled when he realized someone was inside. A neighbor managed to capture the suspect on video crossing her yard.

Approximately an hour later, the police received a call about a residential burglary in progress on Lynwood Drive, just half a mile from Mitchell Street. The officers quickly responded and found the suspect still inside the home.
The suspect has been identified as 39-year-old Charles Mann from White House. He was arrested without incident and charged with Aggravated Burglary and Carjacking. The house he allegedly broke into had three small children present at the time.
Lt. Curt Allen of the Greenbrier Police commended his team’s swift response and emphasized the importance of community involvement in reporting suspicious activities. He urged residents to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
Mann is currently being held at the Robertson County Detention Facility in Springfield on a $40,000 bond. The incident serves as a reminder for homeowners to secure their properties and be aware of their surroundings.
