Worker Identified as Mathew Dies Suddenly in Office at Bolorunduro, Ondo State

In a tragic turn of events, a worker at Bolorunduro in Ondo East Local Government Area of Ondo State has passed away. The local government employee, known only as Mathew, collapsed and died while at work.

According to sources, Mathew, who resided in Elemosi, Ondo town, suddenly slumped in his office and passed away a few minutes later. His colleagues recounted that he had arrived at the office on Friday and had his breakfast in his parked vehicle within the LGA premises.

One of Mathew’s coworkers, who preferred to remain anonymous, revealed that it was a shock when Mathew returned to the office and engaged in discussions with his colleagues before suddenly collapsing. Despite attempts to revive him, their efforts were in vain.

“He showed no signs of illness whatsoever. This is truly shocking to us. We rushed him to the hospital in Bolorunduro, but doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. His death is beyond our comprehension,” the coworker lamented.

Daily Trust made several attempts to reach out to Mathew’s wife, but the grieving family claimed she was unavailable for comment. However, a family source disclosed that burial arrangements were being made by the immediate family.

Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, confirmed the incident during a conversation on Saturday. She stated that the police were conducting an investigation to determine the cause of Mathew’s death and added that his body had been taken to the hospital’s morgue.

The sudden demise of Mathew has left his colleagues and community in shock. As they mourn his loss, they are searching for answers as to what might have caused his untimely passing. The investigation by the police will hopefully shed light on this tragic event and provide some closure for those affected by his death.
