Two people were killed in a tragic road accident that occurred in Lumbini, Rupandehi this morning. The victims have been identified as Mohammad Irsad, 21, and Rubina Khatun, 16, both residents of Lumbini Saskritik municipality-4, according to Manohar Bhatta, Spokesperson at the District Police Office in Rupandehi.
The incident took place when a school bus belonging to Siddhartha Pratibha Boarding School, Suryapura, collided with a motorcycle while both vehicles were traveling on the Lumbini Kakarahawa road section. The school bus had the registration number Lu 1 Ka 1778, while the motorcycle had the registration number Lu 37 Pa 8482.

Another individual named Apasara Khatun, 17, was injured in the accident and is currently receiving medical treatment at the Universal Medical College in Bhairahawa.
Following the incident, angry locals set fire to the school bus. The police have initiated a search for the bus driver, who is currently at large. The incident occurred while the school bus was transporting students on a trip.
