Three drug dealers from Tottenham have been sentenced to a combined total of more than 10 years in prison for conspiring to supply crack and heroin. Jorrell Ankrah, 27, received a four-year sentence for his involvement in the distribution of Class A drugs. Kevin Moata, 30, was given a three-year and two-month sentence, while Douglas Pereira, 20, received three years and four months in prison. Pereira was also charged with possession with intent to sell cocaine.

The investigation began when officers apprehended Pereira in Tottenham on September 27. Despite attempting to flee, Pereira was caught and found to be in possession of several wraps of class A drugs and a phone. After downloading data from the phone, officers were able to identify Pereira’s connection to Ankrah and Moata in drug supply activities. Ankrah and Moata were identified as the custodians of the Mikey drugs line.

Moata was arrested in Leicester in October 2022 and brought back to London. The evidence collected throughout the investigation demonstrated that the group had been involved in drug dealing for a ten-month period, leading lavish lifestyles funded by their criminal activities.

Sergeant Nick Stylianou, from the Specialist Crime North Proactive Team, commented on the operation, stating, “This proactive operation identified that the group were dealing class A drugs over a ten-month period, living lavish lifestyles funded by their criminality. The extensive work involved in the case demonstrates our commitment to tackling drug supply, which is heavily linked to exploitation and serious violence leading to untold misery in London.”

The sentencing of these individuals is a significant victory for law enforcement in the ongoing fight against drug trafficking and related crimes. By holding these individuals accountable, authorities hope to deter others from engaging in similar illicit activities and contribute to the overall safety and well-being of the community.
