Panaji: A tragic accident in North Goa has claimed the lives of three tourists in the early hours of Saturday. The victims were about to enter their car in Arpora village when a speeding car driven by Russian traveller Anton Bychkov crashed into them, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Jivba Dalvi.
The three victims have been identified as Mahesh Sharma from Nashik, Dilipkumar Bang, and Manojkumar Soni from Hyderabad. All three were killed instantly upon impact. Bychkov’s vehicle also plunged into a nearby nullah, resulting in serious injuries for him. He is currently receiving treatment at the Goa Medical College and Hospital in Bambolim.

Once Bychkov is discharged from the hospital, legal action will be taken against him, confirmed Dalvi. The exact cause of the accident is yet to be determined, and investigations are underway.
