Three People Killed in Bus-Auto Collision in Sitamarhi, Bihar; Auto Driver Shambhu Mandal Among the Deceased

Three people were killed and two others were critically injured in a tragic road accident in Sitamarhi, Bihar. The incident occurred at around 8 am near Dhurv College on NH 22 on Sitamarhi-Sonbarsa Road. The auto-rickshaw involved in the accident was being driven by Shambhu Mandal, a resident of Sonbarsa.

According to initial reports, the accident occurred due to low visibility caused by fog. The auto-rickshaw was heading towards Sitamarhi at the time of the incident. Sadly, three passengers in the auto-rickshaw died on the spot, while two others sustained critical injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment.

In a separate incident in Odisha’s Keonjhar, eight pilgrims, including a woman and a child, lost their lives, and twelve others were injured. The victims were residents of Pudamari in Ganjam district. The accident happened when their vehicle collided with a stranded truck. The injured were immediately rushed to the nearby Ghatagaon and later transferred to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. The pilgrims were on their way to pay homage to Goddess Trarini.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver of the vehicle in Odisha fell asleep, leading to the tragic accident. Further investigations are currently underway to determine the exact cause of the incident.

Authorities are working diligently to apprehend the bus driver who fled the scene in Sitamarhi. Efforts are being made to hold the responsible party accountable for their actions.
