Sharon High School Student Allegedly Creates “Hit List,” No Harm Done

A student at Sharon High School in Massachusetts has allegedly created a “hit list,” but thanks to prompt action by the police, no harm was done to any students. The Sharon police department released a statement on Friday via Facebook, stating that the school staff had notified them about the alleged list and reassured the public that there is no ongoing threat.

According to the police, all the individuals whose names were on the list have been informed and are safe. The authorities praised the quick communication between students, parents, school personnel, and the police, which allowed them to intervene before the situation escalated.

The police have not identified the student responsible for compiling the list as they are a juvenile. However, they confirmed that the student is also safe. Sharon School Police Officer John Marsinelli worked closely with the school administration to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

Police Chief Stephen Coffey emphasized the importance of open communication between parents, schools, and the police in maintaining the safety of the community. Coffey expressed gratitude to the school department for their partnership in handling the situation.

In a statement, Coffey said, “Prompt communication between students, parents, school personnel, and the police allowed authorities to intervene before the situation could become any more serious. I am thankful to the school department for their partnership to keep Sharon a safe place to live.”

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance and reporting any suspicious activities to the authorities. The police have urged the community to remain alert and to continue communicating any concerns promptly.
