Madrasah Student Ariba Jannat Killed in Pickup Van Accident in Chattogram

A tragic incident occurred in Mirsarai upazila, Chattogram district on Saturday morning, resulting in the death of a young female madrasah student and leaving another student injured. The accident took place at approximately 9am in the South Moghadia Ghona area, under the Shaherkhali union of the upazila.

The deceased has been identified as Ariba Jannat, a 6-year-old girl and the daughter of Imam Hossain, a resident of the aforementioned area. Ariba was a first-grade student at a local madrasah.

Eyewitnesses reported that Ariba and several other students were heading to the madrasah in a CNG-run autorickshaw when tragedy struck. A speeding pickup van collided with their autorickshaw from the opposite direction, resulting in Ariba’s immediate death at the scene. Another student named Rina was critically injured and was rushed to Chattogram Medical College Hospital for essential medical treatment.

Kamrul Haider, the Chairman of Saherkhali Union Parishad, has confirmed the tragic incident and the loss of Ariba’s life.

The local community is left in shock and grief following this devastating accident. The loss of such a young life has deeply affected the residents of Mirsarai upazila. Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the cause and hold any responsible parties accountable.
