Los Angeles officials search for suspect in murders of three homeless men, including Jose Bolanos, Mark Diggs, and unidentified Latino man.

Los Angeles authorities are currently searching for a suspect believed to be responsible for the murders of three homeless men in late November. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has reported that the killings occurred between November 26 and November 29, with each victim being a person experiencing homelessness.

According to LAPD Chief Michel Moore, the perpetrator approached each victim while they were sleeping and fatally shot them. The first victim, identified as Jose Bolanos, 37, was shot in an alley near 110th Street and Vermont Avenue in the early hours of November 26. The second victim, Mark Diggs, 62, was discovered the following day in the 600 block of Mateo Street. The third victim, a 52-year-old Latino man whose name has not been released, was found on November 29 near Avenue 18 and Pasadena Avenue.

All three victims were reportedly sleeping alone in open areas when they were attacked. In an effort to apprehend the suspect, the LAPD has released images of a potential suspect vehicle and an image of the suspect.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has expressed her commitment to addressing the issue and ensuring the safety of the unhoused community. She has urged the homeless population to seek shelter and services and advised Angelenos with unhoused friends or family members to inform them about the potential danger.

The LAPD, along with city partners, is working diligently to bring justice to the victims and ensure the safety of the vulnerable population. Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón has also pledged his support, assigning various divisions to assist in the investigation.

The community is being urged to remain vigilant and report any information that may aid in the investigation. Authorities are determined to apprehend the suspect and provide justice for the victims and their families.
