Indian Tourists Mahesh Sharma, Dilipkumar Bang, and Manoj Kumar Soni Killed in Car Accident by Drunk Russian in Goa

Three Indian tourists were tragically killed in a car accident involving a drunk Russian driver in Arpora, Goa. The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday when the victims were leaving a pub after a night out. The car, driven by a 27-year-old Russian man named Anton Bychkov, crashed into the trio before plunging into a nullah. The Russian driver is currently being treated for injuries and alcohol intoxication at Goa Medical College.

The deceased have been identified as Mahesh Sharma, aged 46, from Nashik, and Dilipkumar Bang, aged 46, and Manoj Kumar Soni, aged 48, both from Hyderabad. They were part of a group of four people who were on holiday in Goa. Fortunately, the fourth person in the group and their driver managed to avoid the accident as they had already entered their car.

According to the Anjuna police, the Russian driver was driving at a high speed when the collision occurred. He was trapped inside the car after it fell into the nullah and had to be rescued by fire and emergency services. Bychkov suffered head injuries and is currently described as stable but uncooperative by doctors.

Both the Russian driver and the owner of the car, Sujay Tamonkar of Siolim, have been booked for culpable homicide. The police suspect that the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.

The tragic accident has left the families of the victims devastated. The local authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident and will ensure that justice is served.
