TWO WANTED SUSPECTS SURRENDER TO POLICE AFTER ATTACK OUTSIDE TAMPA NIGHTCLUB
Two individuals who were wanted in connection with an assault outside a nightclub in Ybor City, Tampa, turned themselves in to the police on Friday, according to authorities.

The charges stemmed from an incident that occurred after a performance by Florida rapper Nardo Wick at Club Skye. The attack took place at approximately 1:17 a.m. on Monday, when a fan asked Wick for a photo.
The victim suffered severe injuries after being repeatedly punched, and he was subsequently hospitalized. Disturbing video footage of the incident showed the victim being assaulted against a wall before being knocked to the ground and subjected to further beatings.
The Tampa Police Department identified the suspects as 34-year-old Zachary L. Benton and a 15-year-old boy. Eyewitnesses reported that Benton punched the victim unprovoked when he tried to take a picture, after which the teenager joined in and continued attacking the victim.
Nardo Wick, in an interview with 8 On Your Side, stated that the individuals responsible for the assault were not directly associated with him. He condemned the attack and claimed that he attempted to intervene once he became aware of what was happening.

Both suspects have been charged with felony battery. Additionally, the minor has been charged with being in possession of a firearm while wearing a mask, a crime due to his age.
The incident has raised concerns about the safety of nightlife venues in Ybor City, with many calling for increased security measures to prevent similar incidents in the future. Club Skye has not released a statement regarding the incident.
The victim’s condition remains critical, and he continues to receive medical treatment for his injuries. The investigation into the attack is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Tampa Police Department.
