The incident occurred in south Killeen around 7 p.m. on Friday, and the Killeen Police Department promptly responded to the single-vehicle collision. The driver, identified as Emily Santiago Figueroa, was taken to the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, where she sadly succumbed to her injuries at 8:52 p.m., as confirmed by the police in a news release on Saturday.
The crash took place at the intersection of Trimmier Road and Stagecoach Road. Upon arriving at the scene, emergency services found the driver as the sole occupant of the vehicle, suffering from severe injuries. Killeen EMS immediately transported her to the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, where she is currently listed in critical condition.
