Death of Kelly Koike: San Francisco Police Investigate Suspicious Circumstances Surrounding the Deceased Woman Found in a Duffel Bag

SAN FRANCISCO — On 13th August at around 7:24 p.m., police officers from Richmond Station in San Francisco responded to a report of a deceased person near Golden Gate Park. The incident occurred at the intersection of Fulton Street and 22nd Avenue.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers were informed by a witness that they had discovered an unresponsive adult female inside a duffel bag. The victim was later identified as 37-year-old Kelly Koike, also known as Kelly Brock, from San Francisco. Emergency medical services were called, but unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from the San Francisco Fire Department.

The San Francisco County Medical Examiner was called to investigate the suspicious death. The cause of death was later ruled as undetermined. The investigation was handed over to the SFPD Homicide Detail due to the suspicious nature of the incident.

According to the victim’s mother, Roya Koike, Kelly had been living on the streets for the past four years. She suffered from schizophrenia and bipolar disorder but resisted medication and treatment. Police have identified two suspects in connection with the incident. Alexander Madden, 26, and Emilia Beckhusen, 33, were later arrested for unlawful disposal of human remains and conspiracy.

Although arrests have been made, the case is still an ongoing and active investigation. The San Francisco Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the case.
