AMBER ALERT ISSUED FOR INFANT BOY AFTER MOTHER’S DEATH

SWAN VALLEY, Idaho (Scripps News Boise/Court TV) — Authorities have issued an Amber Alert in Swan Valley, Idaho, after a 10-month-old boy was taken from his home on Thursday night following the tragic killing of his mother.

The suspect, Jeremy Albert Best, is now being sought by the police in connection with the death of his wife, Kali Jean Randall, and the disappearance of their son, Zeke Gregory Best. Earlier in the day, Best was spotted walking unclothed through a local store, raising concerns about his mental state.

The Teton County Sheriff’s Office received a distress call from a residence in Victor, Idaho, on Thursday night. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the lifeless body of 38-year-old Randall, who was later pronounced dead. Authorities are treating her death as a homicide.

Investigators believe that Best fled the scene with his son. They have released a description of the suspect, who is considered armed and extremely dangerous. Best is described as a 45-year-old man, standing at 5’11” and weighing 245 lbs.

The authorities believe that Best is driving a black 1995 Chevy Tahoe SUV with an Idaho license plate number: 1T39349. They are urging anyone with information about the suspect, the vehicle’s whereabouts, or the missing child to contact the police immediately. However, they caution against approaching or confronting Best, as he is considered highly dangerous.

Earlier in the day, Best had been apprehended by law enforcement after being found naked in a local general store in Swan Valley. He was taken to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.
